SERVPRO of Gig Harbor/North Tacoma takes great pride in being a part of the Gig Harbor/North Tacoma communities. Now that Summer is winding down, here are some wonderful community activities and oppertunities:
September 9th- Harbor Hounds Walk the town. A charitable walk on the waterfront with man's best friend. Harborhounds.com
September 15-17th- Gig Harbor Open Studio tour. A tour of our local artists and their studio. Gigharboropenstudiotour.org
September 23rd- History Rocks. A celebration to support our Harbor History Museum and raise funds for its operations and programs. Harbor history museum.org
September 24th- Race for a Soldier 1/2 Marathon Run, 5k and Kids Fun Run. This event is in support of soldiers and their families when returning from active duty. Raceforasoldier.org
September 29th- Cider Makers Dinner at Sehmel Homestead Park. A limited ticket event to learn how the cider process happens, dinner and ciders to complement each course. Gigharborfoundation.org
September 30th- Glass Pumpkin patch at Uptown. A wonderful display of hand crafted glass pumpkins within the Uptown Shopping center. Uptowngigharbor.com
September 30th- Almost over two dozen cider makers, presenting 80+ hard ciders. Gigharborfoundation.org
October 7th- Scarecrow Festival at Sehmel Homestead Park. A family friendly event to bring in the Fall. A fun filled day with live entertainment, music, farm animals, carnival games, food and more. Penmetparks.org
October 7th- Key Peninsula Farm Tour. A farming expierence: activities, animals, and apple picking. Kpfarmtour.com
October 26th- Gig Harbor Film Festival Opening Gala. Gigharborfilmfestival.org
October 27-29th- Gig Harbor Film Festival. An independent film festival at Uptown Galaxy Theater. Gigharborfilmfestival.com
October 31st- Trick or Treat in the Harbor. A tradition great for kids of all ages to trick or treat amongst our local businesses. Gigharborwaterfront.org
October 31st- Trick or treat in Uptown one of our outdoor shopping malls. Great for all ages. Uptowngigharbor.com
November 9th- 'Girls Night Out' with Downtown Waterfront Alliance. A day full of deals, specials, fun for all the ladies here in the Harbor. Gigharborwaterfront.org
November 18th- Donkey Creek Chum Festival. A chance to learn about salmon and how important they are to our Harbor. Gigharborguide.com
November 25-26th- Winterfest Arts & Crafts. 100+ local craft vendors displaying their talents and goods. Phswinterfest.com
November 23rd- Turkey Trot 5k/10k. An annual Harbor Life Chiropractic Turkey Trot. Also benefitting Run for Gig Harbor FISH and Peninsula Communities of Faith Food Banks. Harborlifechiro.com
December 2nd- Gig Harbor Annual Tree Lighting. The first Saturday in December every year, this event lights the large Christmas tree in the center of the harbor. Gigharborguide.com
December 2nd- Penmet Parks and Peninsula Athletic Association Breakfast with Santa. Photo op with Santa, music, crafts, and a pancake breakfast. Children under 2 are free, must be accompanied by paid adult. Penmetparks.org
December 2-3rd- Tidefest Fine Arts and Crafts Celebration. Gig Harbor High School's annual festival with 150 artists from the Northwest. The festival raises money for the schools activities and athletics programs. Tidefest.org
December 7-9th- Candlelight Christmas in the Harbor. Celebrate with our local merchants, music and special events. Gigharborwaterfront.org
December 9th- Gig Harbor Yacht Club presents Lighted Boat Parade. Bring the family down to the Harbor and view lighted boats as they circle the Harbor. Gigharboryc.com
